VSCM Collaboration: Generating Petty Problems
Collaborations.... I think they're starting to drive me a little... nutty....
After a fair amount of brainstorming and research (ie. reading online articles and blogs about simple solutions to make life easier) the problem that we've decided to tackle (for the time being) is the petty annoyance caused by eating pistachios (they can be hard to crack, their shells fly everywhere, etc.).
The VSCM people did a fair amount of brainstorming during their class, then pitched their ideas to the rest of us (aka, the OBDF peoples (aka, Kelsey and I)). We all agreed that eating pistachios can certainly be an annoying task.
So far our group has been connecting with each other via either Facebook Messenger (group messages are great) and a Google Doc that we've just been dumping ideas into for the time being. Its been a bit of a task trying to get the full group together, since we were missing about half of our group member on that first Wednesday that we met up in person.
Going forward, we plan to do more research into possible solutions to our proposed problem, such as nut opener designs, personal experiences eating pistachios, behaviours exhibited while eating these nuts, etc. Sketches and a preliminary trip to somewhere like Home Depot are also in order.
So far... so good...
